Abstract Based on the former design and manufacturing collaboration solution, an optimized solution has been prompted, focusing on reconstruction of the concurrent collaborative development process, to impel design and manufacturing to operate simultaneously. Furthermore, some implementation ways of the optimized solution have been discussed. According to the analysis, the total time of design and manufacturing can be futherly cut down about two or three months by applying the optimized solution, in comparison with the former one. Besides, design and manufacturing can be integrated tightly, so that design quality and manufacture conformance can be improved, and development cost can be expected to decrease.
