Abstract:To solve the low-efficiency and the low-level automation of process decision for NC manufacture of aircraft
structure parts, process design of aircraft structure parts based on the features coding is proposed in this paper. Firstly,
using the group technology, processing elements of aircraft structure parts are classifed and then coded to form a table of
features coding. Then, the processing features obtained by features recognition are decomposed into the processing elements,
matching with the table of features coding and sorting to obtain the processing programs. Finally, process design
module of aircraft structure parts based on the features coding is developed on CATIA V5.
