Abstract:Geometric error is one of the important factors affecting the spatial accuracy of CNC machine tools. Many error terms, complex mechanism and the coupling effect among the error terms, which ultimately affect the machining accuracy of machine tools. Therefore, it is very important to study and analyze geometric errors. In this paper, the research status of geometric error of CNC machine tools at home and abroad in recent years is summarized, including geometric error modeling, geometric error measurement, geometric error term analysis and geometric error compensation. The advantages and disadvantages of the existing modeling methods, measurement methods, geometric error analysis methods and compensation methods are summarized. From the perspective of equipment manufacturing industry, the research direction of geometric error of CNC machine tools in the future is forecasted.
