Abstract：The GPRS technology is illuminated in detail. The GPRS technical characteristics is especially introduced, such as the network architecture, the issues to further consider when we use the GPRS technology; and the application case which uses GPRS net to achieve long-distance monitoring of water resources is also introduced.
