Optimization of milling parameters is applied to solve the problems of chatter, low machining efficiency and local machining out-of-tolerance due to machining deformation in the fabrication of TC4 integrated impeller of an aeroengine. Based on the cutting force coefficients of TC4 material gained by cutting force coefficient identification tests and the dynamic parameters of the machining system gotten by hammer tests, the optimized cutting parameters are obtained by using the self-developed dynamic simulation software SimuCut for milling and the oversea counterpart CutPro synthetically. The optimized cutting parameters are used in practical milling process, and the machining deformation resulted from the machining chatter and the local out-of-tolerance are eliminated and the machining efficiency is improved.
