Abstract Flex track drilling system is a typical lightweight automatic drilling system with the advantages of wide
flexibility, autonomous mobility, easy installation and low cost. It has attracted the attention of many aircraft manufacturers
all over the world, and has been applied widely in the field of modern aircraft assembly. This paper summarizes the current
situation of research and application on flex track drilling system, and analyzes its composition and the corresponding key
technologies. The further research and development trend of flex track drilling system in the future is discussed.
