Abstract The online monitoring and optimization of the curing process of bismaleimide (BMI) /carbon fiber composites formed by typical resin membrane fusion and infiltration process were studied by dynamic dielectric analysis (DEA). The optimized process showed 3.5h shortage of curing time compared to the original procedure. And the feasibility of DEA method for composite solidification process optimization was verified by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis, static and dynamic mechanical properties of composite materials cured under two different curing process.
