Abstract The aircraft assembly is increasingly developing into a standing, pulsating assembly line. Choice of assembly separation plane is crucial to aircraft assembly station construction. Through the analysis of the characteristics about helicopter assembly process, then we explored the advantages and disadvantages of different structural separation planes, and studied the effect of assembly separation plane for helicopters on the construction of the assembly station, concluded the basic rules and methods for the design of the assembly station production line, and the conclusion provided ideas for helicopter assembly production line construction.
