Abstract The relationship between recovery stress and temperature of shape memory alloys in static heating and
dynamic heating condition has been researched. In former condition, an iterative method for constitutive model, which
could predict recovery stress effectively, was raised. The limitation of traditional model in later condition has been expressed
as well. Therefore, an efficient method called mean rate interpolation has been proposed. With this method, the
result of SMA’s recovery stress in dynamic heating condition can be calculated accurately, whose relative error is less than
10%.
