Abstract Continuous fibers can be inserted through thickness of materials by tufting, which improve interlaminar
properties of composites. As a novel one-sided stitching technology, tufting robots make stitching process more accurate
and flexible. Tufting process, parameters, and composites properties affected by tufting are introduced.
