Review of Fretting Fatigue Palliative Technology for Dovetail Joint of Titanium Alloy

Abstract:The fretting fatigue failure form and testing approach of blade-disk dovetail joint in the turbine engine are reviewed, the latest research progress of surface modification technology for improving the fretting fatigue properties of titanium alloys is summarized. The treatment process, strengthening mechanism of different technology and their applications in improving the fretting fatigue performance of titanium alloy blade are introduced. The existing problems in the research field are proposed.
