Abstract:Aiming at the urgent needs of quality assurance, speed improvement, cost reduction and benefit increase in the aircraft final assembly procedure, a large number of domestic and foreign literatures are reviewed about the assembly line for aircraft or its key components. The characteristics of pulsation and continuation moving lines is analyzed, and the applications of aircraft moving assembly lines all over the world are summarized. An overview is presented about the design method of moving assembly line, the optimal scheduling of assembly line balance, logistics management, intelligent assembly line management and control, etc. The Hall three-dimensional model for moving assembly line analysis and design is established, and several research and development suggestions for moving assembly line are proposed. Finally, with a typical aircraft moving assembly case study and analysis, the efficiencies of the pulsation line and continuation line are compared. The results show that the efficiencies of continuation moving line are much higher than that of pulsation moving line.
