Abstract:During the process of measuring a complex shape product in the aerospace industry, it is required to get different types of geometric elements including free-form surfaces, geometric features, and some specific points. In this paper, an integrated system is introduced for measuring objects via several methods such as photogrammetry, binocular stereo vision, and hand-held probe measuring, and the measuring data is unifi ed in one coordinate system. It makes more easily to reconstruct curves, surfaces and geometric features from the data . Some key technologies of the system are presented such as the basic framework, the calibration, the registration of stereo image pairs, the reference points determination using multiple views and so on. For demonstration, several complex shaped aerospace products are measured.
