Abstract In aircraft manufacturing, a pipe bending mold of computerized numerical control (CNC) is required o bend the pipe, and the mold design task is arduous. In order to improve the design efficiency of the CNC bending die, olve the problems existing in the design of the bending die, based on the experience of traditional designers and the design riteria of CNC pipe bending molds, an algorithm for dimensional association of parts and an algorithm for optimizing old structure are proposed. Based on CATIA, the relevant rapid design software has been developed to realize the arameterized rapid design of CNC pipe bending molds and the rapid assembly of standard parts. Compared with traditional esign methods, the design efficiency of the software is increased by about 20 times, which provides a way for enterprises to reduce costs and improve efficiency..
