Abstract The applications of automatic riveting system in foreign aerospace industries are introduced. The process fl ow of sending fastener is analysed. The application of gripping rivet technology in automatic riveting system based on hydraulic pressure and electromagnetic riveting are researched and analysed. Several suggestions of development of gripping fastener are given in the end.
