Abstract The corrosion characteristics of 2124–T851 aluminum alloy samples under different performance treatment conditions in salt spray environment were studied by salt spray test. The surface corrosion state of the sample within 960h was recorded by photograph every 96h a cycle. The results show that the surface corrosion of aluminum alloy samples surface without treatment gradually increases with the increase of corrosion time, the sample with surface phosphoric acid anodized (PAA) and sprayed with primer has good corrosion resistance. By comparison, it was found that there was no corrosion point in the test of BR–127 and TB06–9, which shows that BR–127 and TB06–9 have good salt spray corrosion resistance.
