Abstract Due to the particularity of processing of LAM (Laser Additive Manufacturing) TC4 titanium alloy, the alloy has obvious anisotropy in mechanical properties, and its toughness and fatigue properties cannot meet the requirements of use. Based on the relationship between the microstructure and mechanical properties of materials, this review introduces the influence of different heat treatment processes on the microstructure and mechanical properties of LAM TC4 titanium alloy, points out the existing problems in the heat treatment research of LAM TC4 titanium alloy, and provides thoughts and direction for the following heat treatment research of LAM TC4 titanium alloy.
