Ti2AlNb intermetaUic alloys based on onhorhombic phase have eXcellem potential as adVanced aerospace and elevated temperature stmctural materials because of their high specific strength and stifhess酗weU鹪their creep and oxidation resistance. Superplastic foming is an ideal process for Ti2AlNb aLlloy when fabricating components in practical industrial application.Recent pmgresses of superplasticity of Ti2AlNb alloy are reviewed in this paper.MicrostllJcture characteristics肌d mechanism during superplastic defonllation are discussed in detail.Finally, future trend on superplastic foming process of Ti2AlNb alloy are proposed.
