Abstract：SiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites (SiCp /Al) gets more attention in the field of materials science and mechanics, as well as aerospace, automotive, electronic instrumentation and otherareas. The enhancement mechanism of SiCp /Al is introduced. With the progress in numerical method, the advance in mechanics research is summaried from the aspects of reinforcenent, failure, modeling methods and the construction of the constitutive model.
