Abstract:Constant strain rate isothermal compression in β phase region of TC17 alloy was employed to investigate the evolution of initial duplex microstructure. The deformation temperatures were arranged from 910℃ to 970℃ with an interval of 30℃, the height reductions were 0, 10%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80%. The results show that there is no obvious flow-softening phenomenon in β phase region and discontinuous yielding phenomenon at high and low strain rate. The strain rate range of 0.1–1s–1 is beneficial for dynamic recrystallization, while the strain rate ranged from 0.001s–1 to 0.1s–1, no dynamic recrystallization occurs. The higher the deformation temperature and the height reduction in β phase region, the more sufficient the dynamic recrystallization is.
