Abstract Taking the acquisition of an aircraft as an illustration, the implementation of a Weapon Equipment Acquisition System is studied, which can be summarized as two parts: phases partition of the Weapon Equipment Acquisition, structural hierarchy and general framework of the acquisition system are discussed in the first part; implementation of the system with the integration of the current commercial software like. Project Server and CATIA is introduced. The research confi rms a feasible way to achieve an acquisition system through integrating with mature software (or system).
