Abstract The single factor experiment was processed for the study on the effect of the cutting parameters on the TC17 titanium alloy surface roughness using the carbide tool on the condition of the high speed. The purpose is to provide the experimental references for the high speed cutting optimizing for machining of the titanium alloy blade or blisk. The sensitivity analysis for the cutting parameters show that the surface roughness is most sensitive to the feed per tooth, and less sensitive to the cutting speed and cutting depth.
